This innovative kit not only allows for a smooth opening of the tailgate, preventing risk of injury from an uncontrolled drop of tailgate, but also makes closing it effortless. The first strut helps to gently lower the tailgate which, once opened, can be let go and continue to lower in a controlled manner without any further assistance. The second strut, a gas-assisted mechanism, facilitates the closing of the tailgate which makes lifting the tailgate effortless and enables it to be easily operated with just one hand. Installation of the system is straightforward and quick, taking about 30 minutes without any drilling, reusing existing factory mounting points.

This dual strut kit is a tailor made kit to suit 2022+ Ranger XL and XLS. These RA P703 Ford Rangers are not fitted with a torsion bar tailgate system which means you only need the dual strut system. The tailgate assist kit is manufactured adhering to IATF16949 standards, ensuring superior quality and consistency in production. The piston rod undergoes QPQ (Quench-Polish-Quench) surface treatment, significantly enhancing its resistance to corrosion. Additionally, it features a dustproof boot designed to protect the cylinder from dust and foreign particles, which not only increases its corrosion resistance but also extends the overall lifespan of the strut.
